How this page works

Dated notes, written for the shop

Each note has the production date and a version string (year.month.day). The short SHA is the production build. Internal pull requests, ticket IDs, and security work that shops never see are not listed here.

Outages and incidents belong on ftr42.com/status. How to use the product belongs on valspark.ai/documents. Help: valspark.ai/support.

VAL rename and chat fix

  • ChangedThe in-app assistant is now VAL. It was previously called B.O.B.
  • FixedVAL chat threads that failed to load for some users now open.
  • ChangedVAL no longer shows the model scratchpad while it thinks.

How a note gets onto this page

Who writes it. Dayton Runyan (CTO) or Luke Sine reviews what landed in production and decides whether a shop would notice.

Where it is edited. The notes live in the company site repo. Merging to main on ftr42website publishes this URL.

How engineers flag it. ValSpark pull requests have a Customer-facing checkbox and a Customer note line. Unchecked means no public note.

We do not auto-publish every merge. A firehose of SHAs is not a customer changelog. If nothing customer-facing shipped, this page stays still.
